In March of 2017 Northwoods MC is joining with Masters Commission International and traveling to Swaziland, Africa. There we will work with Children’s Cup, which is a ministry that works with the orphans of Swaziland (most of them have lost parents due the the AIDS epidemic sweeping that country). At Children’s Cup, we will be a part of many things, including feeding 11,000 children a day. Yes, 11,000 a day.
The statistics are overwhelming. As we chose what to share with you regarding this ministry opportunity, perhaps the greatest and most relative information to share, is that there are 200,000 orphans in Swaziland. Now, in the grand scheme of world numbers, this is not big. However, when you consider that Swaziland would fit it in the space between Portage, LaCrosse, and Stevens Point; this is staggering. This area represents approximately 240,000 Wisconsin residents – 83% would be orphans.
Will you consider being a huge part of All in for Africa? While we know we cannot fix the situation in one visit, we can bring relief and life to people who have been working tirelessly for years. I believe that this will not be an isolated trip, but out of this will bring many future opportunities for all of us. We are after all one body through Jesus.
